Kahawa Ya Congo is a smooth organic coffee from Nespresso’s Reviving Origins program, crafted from 100% Arabica grown in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This Original coffee reveals mild fruity notes, sweet cereal character, and delicate nutty aromas in a balanced and aromatic cup.
ORIGIN
This coffee is sourced from the fertile Lake Kivu region in eastern Congo, where rich volcanic soils create ideal conditions for Arabica coffee. Through the Reviving Origins program, Nespresso works with local farmers and partners to help restore coffee production, support farming communities, and protect the region’s natural environment. The result is a distinctive organic coffee with a smooth body and gentle fruitiness.
ROASTING
Kahawa Ya Congo is split roasted to create balance and depth. Both roasts are short and dark, with the first batch roasted slightly darker and longer to develop more intensity. This approach helps bring out the coffee’s toasted cereal notes while preserving its mild fruity and nutty aromas.
