Nespresso Sustainable Quality Plan at scale
Nespresso works directly with farmers since 2003. In 2024 reporting, Nespresso states the plan reaches over 168,500 farmers across 18 countries, supported by 863 field staff, and that 91% of Nespresso coffee is sourced through the plan.
Regenerative agriculture target
Nespresso describes regenerative agriculture as protecting and restoring natural resources, including soil, water, and biodiversity. The Positive Cup goal is to source 95% of coffee from the plan from farms practising regenerative agriculture by 2030.
Livelihoods and long-term support
Under the Positive Cup “Empower Communities” priority, Nespresso has a goal for smallholder farmers in Colombia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Mexico, and Peru to receive the Living Income Reference Price by 2030. Nespresso also reports an annual 50m CHF investment in coffee operations, delivered with partners and local teams.
